Acteonidae 捻螺科：Shell elliptical to cylindrical, with elevated spire and pointed apex. Aperture narrow. Columella usually with one or two folds. Inner lip sometimes with a projection. Operculum almost completely closing aperture. Animal completely withdrawal into shell. Infaunal.
