Naticidae 玉螺科:Shell pyriform to globose, or discoidal, with large last whorl, and smooth or weakly sculptured surface. Outer lip of aperture not thickend, siphonal canal absent. Umbilicus closed or open, generally with prominent funicle. Operculum corneous or calcareous. Buried in sand and carnivorous, boring holes into other mollusc's shells to feed flesh. |
