Columbellidae 麥螺科：貝殼小形，紡綞型到卵形，某些種類殼表有光澤。外唇通常肥厚，內壁有一些小齒。水管溝明顯。口蓋角質，矩形。齒舌狹舌形，中央齒缺乏齒尖。多數種類棲息於海藻上。肉食性。分布於熱帶到北極海域，潮間帶到深海海域。
