Turridae 捲管螺科：殼中型到小型，通常成細長紡綞形。大多數殼質厚，深海種類則殼薄，多數有縱肋和螺肋。殼口紡綞形。前水管溝通常長，後部有缺刻。有許多缺乏口蓋，如有口蓋，則口蓋角質、細長，核在下方。齒舌？？。肉食性。分布於潮間帶到深海地帶。本科為前鰓亞綱種類最多的一科。
