Colubrariidae 布紋螺科：Shell small to medium in size, fusiform. Protoconch smooth, but teleoconch usually with axial and spiral riblets creating a cancellated sculpture. Varices occasionally present. A thick callus develop on inner to columellar lips in Colubrareia. Operculum usually smaller for aperture, oval, with nuculeus below and outwards.
