Ellobiidae 耳螺科:Shell minute to medium, usually solid, oval, sometimes depressed dorso-ventrally. Protoconch heterostroph. Surface smooth, sculptures weak. Aperture with some denticles. Operculum lacking. A pair of tentacles present with eyes at inner base. Hermaphroditic and genital opening of male and female separated. Usually live on sea coasts in middle intertidal to splash zones. |
