Dreissenidae 似殼菜蛤科：Shell medium to small, trapezoidal to mytiliform with terminal umbos, thin. Ligament flat parivincular, placed between both valves. Hinge edentulous. Heteromyarian, small anterior adductor placed on septum below beak. Inner shell layer complex crossed-lamellar, not nacreous. Integripalliate, or shallowly sinupalliate.
