Pharellidae ：Shell medium, antero-posteriorly elongated oval. Anterior and posterior margins rounded, gaped. Beak very low, placed anterior to midpoint of dorsal margin. Outer surface smooth, with heavy periostracum. Ligament parivincular. Pallial sinus shallow, or deep.
