Solemyidae 芒蛤科：Shell small to large, thin and elongated subquadrate, equivalve, lacks cardinal tooth. Ligament external or deeply buried between both valves. Periostracum thick, dark brownish with strong gloss, and extended beyond ventral margin. Dimyaria. Foot with broad sole.
