Veneridae 簾蛤科：Shell small to large in size, veneriform in shape. Umbo prosogyrous. Lunule and escutcheon usually present. Ligament external, posteriorly situated. Cardinal teeth 3 with anterior lateral tooth. Dimyarian. Pallial sinus triangular or round or absent.
