Character |
殼為淡紅褐色，螺塔高而肩上有棘，越靠近殼底棘越大，體螺層的大棘下有縱肋，體螺層除大棘外於大棘下方仍有一排小棘，螺層間的交界色深，螺層下方有密集的環狀褶紋，成熟螺殼口有外翻現象。 Shell pale reddish brown. Spire high conical with dense, large trigonal spines on shoulder. Periphery and spinous basal cords crossed by varices. Intervaricial spaces fenestrated with dark coloration. Middle Hoshu, southward to Australia. Latiaxis spinosus multispinosus Shikama, 1966 is an infraspecific variation with broad and coronate spines. |
