- 貝類科名：腹足綱（Gastropoda）的捻螺科（Acteonidae）。
- 導讀：日蝕捻螺Punctacteon cebuanus n. sp.為一淺海捻螺，同其他小型貝類雜居於砂礫海底；貝殼很厚，花斑呈暗粉紅色，日蝕型橫排三行於體層上，中間兩條細白色帶上亦有粉紅色小點，殼軸粗、扭曲，殼唇很薄。產自菲律賓中部宿霧Mactan Isle的低潮帶。模式標本保存於台灣博物館，TM-MT 8522，副模標本由藍子樵先生保存。阿拉伯的阿曼產三彩捻螺Acteon eloiseae Abbott, 1973同本種極為相似，惟日蝕型或新月型花紋以黑線圍繞，兩條細白色帶不沾粉紅色點狀不同。
