Buccinidae 峨螺科：殼卵形到紡綞形，殼長1-25公分。前水管溝打開，軸唇襞或有或無。殼表有螺脈或縱肋。口蓋角質，核在中心或下端。齒舌的中央齒四方形，有3個以上的齒尖，側齒有2個大齒尖，齒尖之間有0-5個小齒。
